(B-Fest) "B-Fest Proudly Welcomes Crispin Glover to Syracuse May 13th"

Brief Description:

Crispin Glover, the actor known for his roles as "George McFly" in "Back to
the Future" and "Thin Man" in "Charlie's Angels" will come to Syracuse for
the first time on May 13th thanks to The B-Movie Festival. He will present
"Crispin Hellion Glover's Big Slide Show" then follow it with his
much-buzzed about directorial debut, "What Is It?". The event will be held
at The Palace Movie Theatre, 2384 James St., Syracuse (Eastwood).

Extended Description:

The memorable evening will start at The Palace Movie Theatre at 7:30pm with
a quick introduction. Crispin will then present the one-hour slide show,
which consists of ten different stories that he dramatically narrates. The
slides are from pages of books that Crispin reworked with original and
transformed art. He's been performing this show for fourteen years and
patrons will witness a truly amazing performance LIVE from one of the
world's finest actors.

Following the slide show will be a 35mm presentation of Crispin's "What Is
It?", a visionary, unnerving, surreal, blackly comic film that tells the
inner and outer struggles of a young man facing villains and demons on
multiple planes. "What Is It?" has only been seen in a handful of theaters
around the world.

"What Is It?" runs 72 mins. Following the movie there will be a Q&A and book
signing. The books consist of four different hardbound editions featured in
the slide show.

Doors for this event will open around 6:30pm. The event will wrap up around
midnight.

An evening with Crispin Glover will be held at The Palace Movie Theatre,
2384 James St, Syracuse (Eastwood). This is a ONE-TIME ONLY Syracuse
appearance. The event is recommended for viewers 17 years of age and older.
Ticket prices are $20.00 per person and covers the entire evening - slide
show, movie and Q&A/signing.

More information on "What Is It?", including the trailer, can be found

I wondered what happened to him, after abruptly disappearing from the
BTTF franchise.

He was smashing as Creepy Thin Man in the Charlie's Angels movie, no
matter how awful that second one was. He was also PERFECTLY cast as
Creepy Rat Guy in the remake of "Willard." The man is, and this is
saying a lot, probably the weirdest guy in all of Hollywood by a
considerable long shot. You should have seen his Letterman appearance.
Holy Jesus. Waist-length blonde wig, six-inch platform shoes and
bellbottoms, and he tried to kick Dave in the head after only being
onstage for maybe 30 seconds. InCREDIBLE!!
